RYAN STISSER - ELECTRIC SUPERINTENDENT
585-596-1742

The Village of Wellsville is a Municipal Electric Company in New York State.  The Village is part of an organization called the MEUA and reports directory to the PSC.  The Department maintains all lines within the Village and operates a number of Transmission Stations.  The Department responds directly to residents and businesses needs and works through the Public Utility office for billing concerns.  The office Supervisor is charged with having the meters read and processing the bills.  The office Supervisor maintains all records for accounting purposes on behalf of the Electric Department.  The Department is purely in the business of bringing a good power source at a very good rate to the property owners of the Village in a safe manner.  The Village participates in a program through the IEEP for Energy Efficiency.  Rebates for purchasing energy-efficient electrical products such as air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, ceiling fans, washer, dishwashers, and water heaters are available.  The Village enjoys a favorable rate structure because of this Municipal Electric Company system.
